HCC Worship
The synonym for worship is adoration. To adore something or someone is to worship them.
At Hope Christian Church, we adore the Lord; our heavenly Father. Therefore we
worship Him as Lord and Father. The corporate time of worship in services is to not
only fellowship together, break bread together, be in the Word together and pray together
(Act 2:42), but we come together to worship the Lord together in harmonious melodies that
rise up to heaven to the very throne room of God! How awesome is that! The
Psalmist declares in Psalms 47:
“Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared,
a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
God has gone up with a shout,
the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!
God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.
The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!”

The unique thing about music is that it truly is THE universal language of
all time. Any person from any nation from any language from any background
can worship the Lord in singing and music! God truly is the master creator
of all things! At Hope, we want people to feel free to worship the Lord.
Whether it be lifting your hands in adoration, kneeling before the Almighty, playing an instrument, singing a song, or dancing (yes dancing is encouraged in Psalm 150)! However, we must not do anything that removes the focus of worship off the Lord and on to ourselves. If you dance, do it where no one can easily see you (in the back.) No matter what you do, do not be a distraction.
Singing is not an option for corporate worship, so come prepared to sing! Come see that the Lord is good all the time! Worship the Lord! Sing praises to the Lord! Live in constant adoration to the Lord and watch the flowers of your life begin to bloom with an abundant joy that no person can steal and a fire that no man can quench!
