About Us
We are glad you took this opportunity to visit us on the web. At Hope, we are trying to follow the New Testament as closely as we can. That applies to our daily lives as well as our church structure. We are non-denominational, meaning we are trying to be "Christians" only, not belonging to a man made cluster of churches. We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and, therefore, worth studying and applying to our life. We also believe the Lord has given each one of us tasks and corresponding abilities enabling us to serve Him effectively. We also believe He has given us the ability to understand His will for our life and strive to live within that will as individuals and a church. If you visit us on a Sunday morning, you will find a warm welcome among people who love the Lord, each other, and guests. Our church building is located one block off Pine Street on Oak Street between 3rd and 4th. We would love to welcome you personally to our weekly gathering where we lift our praises and gratitude to Jesus, the Lord. Thanks, again, for taking the time to look us up on the web. What We Believe
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for our sins and
arose victorious from the dead.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. As such, it is the
highest authority for all believers in all areas of life.
Every person has worth to God, but that all have sinned and
fallen short of the glory of God.
Those accepting Jesus Christ will repent of sins, confess
their faith in Jesus, and be baptized into Him for Salvation.
The Church is the body of Christ on earth and while we are
not the only Christians, we strive to be Christians only.
Jesus Christ will one day come down from heaven, the dead in Christ will be raised, and those alive in Christ will meet Him in the sky to be with Him forever.
Hope Christian Church Exists To:
